I was hit by a SUV as a pedestrian, hit-and-run. Miraculously, I live. And after many surgeries, physical and PTSD therapy, and cognitive therapy for a TBI, I've had a blessed recovery. Many unexpected blessings come out of experiences you'd never pick for yourself, and this is one of mine: my advocacy for pedestrian safety.

Me.Surprising My IDF Lone Soldier Daughter
A highlight of my life, the IDF and Nefesh B'Nefesh arranged for me to surprise my lone soldier daughter, Rachel Lester, who I hadn't seen in a year!!! After the video went viral people would smile and point at me and in Hebrew say, 'She's that mom!'
